Private insurance player, ICICI Prudential today entered into a partnership with India Post in Tamil Nadu to strengthen its footprint in the rural market of the state.

"We have partnered with India Post to provide our customers with a one stop solution for long term saving needs. Through the extensive network of India Post, we will have the opportunity to offer our products. The service will be available across 12,179 post offices in Tamil Nadu", ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Senior Vice-President and Head Anup Rau told reporters here.

He said all services offered by ICICI Prudential would be available to customers in the rural markets. "Similar to the tie-up with India Post Tamil Nadu circle, ICICI Prudential has already tied up with India post circles in Uttaranchal, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and West Bengal, he said.

India Post Chief Postmaster General (Tamil Nadu circle) SK Chakrabarti said "our extensive network of post offices in Tamil Nadu will help them penetrate further where the need for life insurance is growing".
